In autonomous applications, that risk is magnified.In co-operation with the European Space Agency – ESA, Provizio has developed a radar-only odometry system that greatly improves localisation accuracy, and keeps vehicles on track when satellites are not in view.It works by analysing how radar measurements change over time to estimate the vehicle’s movement: its direction, speed, and distance travelled.
