Highlights of the K 2025: Prof. Dirk Nüßler presents projects of Fraunhofer FHR in the video. Prof. Nüßler, our department head for Industrial High-Frequency Systems (IHS), explains vividly the functions and application areas of our radar systems. They ensure the highest precision for reliable industrial process monitoring and quality assurance and are therefore essential for measurements of plastic thickness in production: • µRadas offers resource- and energy-efficient technology as a microcontroller-based radar sensor. With integrated real-time signal processing, it achieves measurement rates of up to 4 kHz and enables highly accurate distance measurements. • Our 140 GHz sensor for plastic recycling uses different material constants to efficiently separate materials, thereby significantly improving the recycling process. Visit us until Wednesday, October 15th, at the K 2025 in Hall 7, Level 0, C05, and take the opportunity to converse with Prof. Nüßler and other colleagues from Fraun
