LinkedIn Post Text: Smart Intersection Technology in Action – Stadt Bielefeld At a busy tram stop along Beckhausstraße in Bielefeld, smartmicro worked with the City of Bielefeld to implement a radar-based smart intersection solution at a complex urban location.The project focuses on establishing a reliable and scalable detection basis to support optimized traffic signal control in an environment shaped by motorized traffic, bicycle traffic, and public transport. Using TOPGRD radar sensors in combination with the COM HUB Relay 8, the system was installed quickly and non-intrusively, with minimal impact on ongoing traffic.The result: a robust foundation for managing complex traffic situations and a future-ready approach to urban traffic infrastructure.
