He didn’t want to just assemble ready-made kits; astonishingly, he handcrafted the most critical part of the drone—the motor. In his studio, he designed the motor using CAD software, assembled the nylon casing and bearings that were 3D printed, and personally wound the enamel-coated wire coils to ensure the best balance of power and energy consumption. To make the motor run steadily, he spent several weeks debugging the bearing gaps, not allowing even a concentricity error of 0.1 millimeters.
