LinkedIn Post Text: 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 We’re excited to share new research from FAU – Institute of Microwaves and Photonics (LHFT), presented tomorrow, September 12th, at EUSIPCO2025 in Palermo. The paper “𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘔𝘪𝘤𝘳𝘰-𝘋𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘳 𝘚𝘪𝘮𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘗𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘈𝘶𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘙𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘳 𝘈𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴” demonstrates how radar simulations can reproduce not only clutter, amplitude, noise, and resolution — but also the fine micro-Doppler signatures of human motion that are typically only seen in real-world measurements. Authored by Peter Mergenthaler, Oliver Sura, Eva Dorschky, Christian Schüßler, Marcel Hoffmann, and Martin Vossiek, this work validates simulation as a powerful tool for advancing automotive radar research.
