LinkedIn Post Text: An inexpensive automotive target generator for the field – finally.Working on automotive radar as early as 1993 – during the early days with my team members at the University we asked ourselves: isn’t there a way to create some defined radar reflector in front of our test vehicles for a good alignment of sensors (other than a stationary corner)? Later in 2005 at hashtag#smartmicro when we brought the first radar model to mass production with one tier1 the same problem: how to align, how to test at the end of the production line? At the time, a mechanical simulator, based on some radial ventilator and a slotted absorber was “invented”. Later the big instrument makers launched lab equipment for $100k+ for precise target simulation. Problem solved.But in the field? Battery powered?
