He is a student at the FHV – Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences and is in the 4th semester of the Master of Mechatronics course, completing his work placement with us as part of this. Emanuel is working on his Master thesis entitled: “Modelling and Design of a 3D-printed Lens for Focusing a 60GHz Radar Antenna Signal”Due to their high bandwidth and resulting high-resolution capabilities, radar systems operating in the 60 GHz range and above are widely used. This precision is essential for industrial sensor applications, such as level measurement and object detection. To minimize costs and improve efficiency, manufacturers integrate antennas directly into the package together with the radar chip (AiP). However, these antennas produce a broad radiation pattern of approximately 120°, which requires focusing to meet specific application requirements. Therefore, cost-efficient signal focusing using dielectric lenses
