LinkedIn Post Text: We at Gapwaves have completed a research project focused on integrating telecommunication and sensing into a single system.Integrated Telematics for Next Generation 5G Vehicular Communications (ITN-5VC) was a European research and doctoral training initiative implemented as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) European Industrial Doctorate (EID) within the Horizon 2020 framework. The project was carried out between 2020 and 2025 and aimed to advance mmWave automotive radar.Gapwaves’ contribution focused on the design of the mmWave antenna array and its integration with the radome, with key work carried out by Coen van de Ven, PhD student at Gapwaves, as part of the ITN-5VC doctoral program. The results show that the radome can be used to shape and enhance the radiation pattern for specific automotive radar scenarios.The project was carried out in collaboration with Gandia Campus | Universitat Politècnica de València | Polytechnic University of Valencia, Ilmenau U
